Our challenge

Our challenge for the Scrum Master with MDM experience is to effectively facilitate Agile practices while integrating Master Data Management principles to ensure data quality, consistency, and governance. They must promote collaboration between cross-functional teams, navigate data compliance requirements, and drive continuous improvement in sprint cycles. Additionally, the Scrum Master needs to support stakeholders in understanding MDM processes and ensure that data-centric priorities align with Agile deliverables. Balancing Agile agility with stringent data management standards is key to success.


Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD $120k – CAD $130k/year & benefits (see below).


The Role

Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure smooth team collaboration.
  2. Remove impediments that may hinder the team’s progress and ensure a productive working environment.
  3. Coach the team on Agile principles and practices, fostering continuous improvement and self-organization.
  4. Collaborate with Product Owners to manage the product backlog and ensure clear, well-defined user stories.
  5. Promote transparency, communication, and accountability within the team and with stakeholders.


Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Scrum Master or in an Agile role, preferably with MDM or data governance background.
  2. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
  3. Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification is a plus.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
