Senior DevOps Manager

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Senior DevOps Manager for an innovative and fast-growing technology partner. This exciting full-time, direct hire position is REMOTE with 2-3 annual trips to Georgia.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Manager who thrives at the intersection of technical leadership and hands-on expertise. This role involves guiding a team while also staying closely engaged in AWS environments, CI/CD pipelines, and automation. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead DevOps initiatives across planning, deployment, monitoring, and optimization of infrastructure and pipelines
• Manage and mentor a high-performing DevOps team while remaining hands-on for complex technical projects
• Collaborate with development, IT, and operations teams to streamline CI/CD and ensure system reliability
• Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure with a focus on AWS services
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and configuration management
• Monitor system performance and security, resolving incidents efficiently and proactively

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven expertise in AWS services including EC2, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, and IAM
• Skilled in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions, with strong experience in automation
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
• Strong leadership abilities with experience guiding technical projects and collaborating with stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
