Our client is a global consultancy delivering secure, scalable mobile solutions across government and enterprise platforms. This role supports mobile app development for public sector initiatives using native and cross-platform technologies.

About the role:

We are seeking a Mobile App Developer with strong experience in native Android/iOS development and React Native. You’ll be responsible for building accessible, high-performance mobile applications, integrating with APIs and services, and contributing across the full SDLC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and release mobile apps for Android and iOS using Kotlin, Java, Swift, Objective-C, and React Native.
• Convert UI designs into mobile components and collaborate with UX/UI designers.
• Integrate with back-end APIs and services including Firebase and CMS platforms.
• Ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1) across mobile platforms.
• Create CI/CD pipelines using GitHub/GitLab, Artifactory, and HashiCorp Vault.
• Write automated unit, integration, and functional tests; collaborate with QA teams.
• Contribute across the SDLC: design, development, deployment, code reviews, and maintenance.

Required Experience:

• Extensive experience in mobile app development across Android and iOS.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and DevOps practices.
• Experience integrating mobile apps with APIs and cloud services.
• Strong testing and QA collaboration skills.
• Ability to work across all stages of the SDLC.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in early-stage mobile app development and tool selection.
• React and TypeScript development for web applications.
• Back-end development using Golang and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Containerisation with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Strong ownership, adaptability, and stakeholder collaboration.
• Experience in government or public sector environments.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Australian Citizenship.
• Baseline or NV-1 Government Security Clearance.
