You will serve as a Security Specialist in the Command Operations Department, Corporate Operations Group of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will coordinate, interpret, and review instructions, laws and directives issued by higher authority to ensure uniformity in policies throughout various programs.
- You will review and evaluate background investigation reports to determine security eligibility of individuals for access to sensitive information, material, resources, or work areas.
- You will plan and coordinate with base security forces to afford optimum protection and security of agency buildings, property, and personnel.
- You will serve as the controlling authority for all Communication Security (COMSEC) material used within the activity and develop policies and procedures to present the disclosure of COMSEC material.
- You will be responsible for security compliance of all prime and subcontractors in the safeguarding of classified information/material in the hands of US industrial organizations and facilities.
- You will interpret new security policies and develop guidelines relating to program requirements based on threat and vulnerability levels.
