You will be part of a new team in Cloud Platform (CP) responsible for developing an assigned piece of SW to meet the expected Definition of Done for Cloud RAN applications. We are looking for a junior software engineer to inspire our innovation. You will be working with designing, implementing and testing software.
Position: Entry level
Start Date (Tentative): September, 2025
Location: On-site in Amadora, Portugal
Education Recommendations: candidates who have finished their BSc or MSc degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with an accredited school
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Implementation of the features and ensuring successful integration of software components (in Golang mostly) within their own domain based on product backlogs and specifications
- Creating and maintaining the platform, DevOps, enabling continuous integration (Docker and Python)
- Testing (unit, component, and integration)
- Interface adaptation, testing and troubleshooting tool development (python), build time optimization, maintaining good SW practices
- Assessing software quality and developing test tools to increase test effectiveness and efficiency
- Proposing and participating in internal improvement projects, initiatives and task efforts if needed
- Contributing to the evolution of internal processes with target for continuous efficiency increase of development teams
- Feature implementation (golang, python and/or modern languages)
- Code optimization
You are proactive and on your own. You have great communication skills that allow you to feel comfortable in a multinational team. Our language at work is English. You will enjoy learning and continuous improvement.
Technical skills:
- Interest in SW development/ Testing
- Understanding of SW engineering and SW practices
- Knowledge of programming languages like C++, Golang or Python: development and testing
- Experience of LINUX
- You know the benefits of agile SW development and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery practices
- You have experience in Golang: development and testing
- Experience of scripting/coding with one or more languages (such as Python)
- Understanding of the cloud runtime environments
- Understanding of Telecommunication architecture and requirements (E.g., 5G Radio Network)
- Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) cloud native characteristics including Kubernetes
- Knowledge of open-source software
- Knowledge of platform services and real-time systems
- Understanding of version control tools, such as git, gitlab and gerrit
