Key Outcomes and Accountabilities
- Investigate and respond to privacy complaints and matters escalated to QBCC, in line with the Information Privacy Act 2009, QBCC Privacy Policy and Data Breach Policy and Data Breach Response Plan.
- Provide impartial and forthright privacy advice to support compliant business projects/initiatives, including conducting Privacy Impact Assessments in relation to same.
- Develop and deliver training and guidance to QBCC staff relating to conducting Privacy Impact Assessments.
- Prepare written responses, reports and ad hoc advice relating to the management of privacy complaints and breaches in line with the relevant policies and procedures.
Candidate Attributes
- Supports shared purpose and direction, demonstrating an understanding of the work environment and contributions to the development of plans, strategies and team goals.
- Demonstrates privacy complaints management experience, or regulatory complaints management experience, including ability to engage stakeholders showing judgement, intelligence, and high level interpersonal, consultative, negotiation and mediation skills.
- Demonstrates ability to develop and deliver training to targeted audiences, tailoring communication style and message, accordingly, including monitoring and reviewing effectiveness and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Demonstrates accountability for the execution and quality of results through professionalism, persistence and transparency and ensuring privacy risks mitigation is prioritised at all times.
- Demonstrates responsiveness to changes in customer and stakeholder needs and expectations and commitment to building and sustaining positive relationships with team members, stakeholders and customers.
