Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer you will join an experienced team tackling the challenge of real-time monitoring in a distributed system using Event Sourcing architecture. In this role, you will work on a core product that:

Handles thousands of requests per second

Processes millions of transactions

Operates with terabytes of data

Utilizes modern technologies (Kubernetes, Data Streams, the latest versions of Python and Go)

Your tasks will include:

• Working with minimal supervision to implement complex methods and procedures within the assigned problem domain
• Owning the development, test, and deployment for an entire product
• Estimating new work with consideration and commitment
• Identifying and communicating risk, ambiguity, complexity, and dependencies
• Sharing knowledge of technical skills, patterns, and practices with the rest of the team
• Code reviewing and mentoring of associates, intermediates, and other senior members on the team
• Working with business partners outside of you team to explain and champion high-level technology approaches

To be a good fit for the Senior Developer role you will have:

• Strong experience in Python including Asynchronous Python Development
• Experience with AWS services, particularly Lambda, Kinesis, S3, EC2, DynamoDB, and SQS.- Azure or GCP experience is also accepted
• Familiarity with distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
• Experience working on high load backend services

Nice to have:

• Experience with Go
• Experience with NoSQL databases, such as Elasticsearch
• Familiarity with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL
