Are you passionate about embedded systems and ready to take ownership of ECU and software development? We are looking for a Node Owner to join our client’s team and play a key role in shaping the future of connected transport solutions.
As a Node Owner, you will be responsible for owning, developing, and maintaining Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and Embedded Software (ESW) across the complete lifecycle. You will ensure that all developed software is correctly assigned, documented, and released in alignment with established processes and project timelines.
This role combines technical expertise and leadership—you will lead ECU/ESW strategy, contribute to long-term roadmaps, and collaborate with global stakeholders while also solving integration and quality challenges.
- Own, develop, and maintain ECU and ESW throughout the lifecycle.
- Define and ensure ECU SW and HW meet requirements in terms of technical scope, quality, time, and cost.
- Coordinate, document, and release ECU/ESW in line with client processes.
- Contribute to ECU/ESW development roadmaps and long-term strategies.
- Create and maintain Software Requirement Specifications (SRS) and Technical Requirements.
- Ensure system and configuration structures (e.g., JSONs, internal tools) are kept up to date.
- Act as the main contact for ECU/ESW-related topics with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support integration and testing of functions in vehicles.
- Address quality issues across projects, production, and aftermarket.
- Drive knowledge sharing and support colleagues within the team.
- BSc or MSc in Electrical/Software Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in embedded HW/SW development within automotive.
- Good understanding of ECU functionality, architecture, and embedded systems.
- Familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety.
- Previous experience in system/architectural design (e.g., Instrument Cluster, Connectivity).
- Knowledge of industry-standard systems, tools, and processes.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Leadership experience is required.
- Team player with strong collaboration skills.
- Proactive, structured, and self-motivated.
- Curious and eager to learn, with a passion for technical solutions.
- Positive mindset with the ability to guide, inspire, and support others.
✨ If you are ready to take ownership and make a real impact in the automotive software domain, we would love to hear from you!
