Network Engineer

Essential Skills

• Strong troubleshooting skills for device connectivity, network issues, and laboratory software.
• Experience in End-User Computing / Desktop Support (80% Break/Fix workload for Lab Engineers).
• Knowledge of networking concepts: topology, VLANs, static/dynamic IPs, subnetting, IT/OT networks, basic firewalls.
• Familiar with OSI model and troubleshooting across network layers.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and Agile ways of working.
• Background in computer security.
• Experience with validated systems (GxP) a plus.
• Experience implementing validated data backup solutions for lab equipment/software.
• Support incident management, user access, and coaching for scientists.
• Software testing & validation (multi-environment tests, documentation, configuration).
• Familiar with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) and Microsoft Excel.
