Chief Technology Officer (Abu Dhabi)

We're seeking a results-oriented Head of Applications to lead a critical function within our client's IT & Digital team.

In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for overseeing the management and support of a diverse application portfolio, ensuring that they meet the evolving needs of the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of application specialists, ensuring efficient and effective support for various application clusters (e.g., CRM, Asset Management, Transport Management).
• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for application management, including maintenance, optimization, and security.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure applications deliver tangible value.
• Foster open communication and collaboration with peers across different functions to ensure solutions align with business objectives.
• Build and manage a team of Product Owners, recruiting and retaining talent with the expertise required for business success.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in application management and related fields.
• Continuously monitor application performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Proactively address application-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively for application support and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in application management or a related IT leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and supporting complex application landscapes.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and best practices in application management.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships and foster a collaborative environment within the team and across departments.
• Experience in building and managing high-performing teams is a plus.
• Experience working with Product Owners is a plus.
