Requirements

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator with at least three years of hands-on experience managing and maintaining enterprise networks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our client's network infrastructure while supporting day-to-day IT operations. Experience with Fortinet and/or Ubiquiti networking equipment would be ideal but not required.

We're offering a contract-to-hire role with the flexibility to work remotely. To support potential periodic office visits, candidates should live in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee, or Georgia.

Key Responsibilities:

Configure, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points
Manage and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless connectivity across multiple sites
Monitor network performance and proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve issues
Implement and enforce network security best practices, including access control, patch management, and monitoring tools
Support server and storage environments as they relate to network connectivity and performance
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to support business operations and technology projects
Maintain documentation for network architecture, procedures, and configurations
Provide tier-1/2 support for escalated network-related incidents and service requests
Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role
Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls and Ubiquiti networking equipment
Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols
Experience managing network security policies, firewall rules, and intrusion prevention/detection systems
Familiarity with monitoring and management tools for performance and security
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
