UI/UX Designer – Contract

Sydney, Australia | Hybrid (3 days in-office)

Day Rate: $900–$1000pd | 6-Month Contract

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer to join a leading financial services organisation on a 6-month contract. You’ll be embedded in a collaborative tech squad within their Retail Banking division, delivering intuitive, user-focused digital experiences across payments and loyalty platforms.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead design projects end-to-end, from scoping and wireframing through to final execution.
• Produce user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed documentation.
• Translate customer insights and analytics into design solutions that meet both user needs and business goals.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, legal, compliance, and marketing stakeholders.
• Mentor and support other designers to raise the quality of output.
• Champion user-centred design principles across the organisation.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years’ proven UX/UI design experience within financial services.
• Direct experience with Credit Cards, Payments, or Loyalty Platforms is essential.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating complex transactional design work across multiple devices.
• Proficiency with Figma and other design/prototyping tools.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence in presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Ability to deliver in an agile environment, managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
