Freelance Frontend Developer – React – 12 Months – Utrecht
One of my clients in the financial services industry are looking for a freelance Frontend developer for a period of 12 months. This is a hybrid position, a Dutch speaking developer is also preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and Maintain Web Applications: Develop dynamic, responsive, and efficient user interfaces using React and Next.js.
Server-Side Development: Use Node.js to build and maintain scalable and efficient back-end APIs that integrate seamlessly with front-end applications.
Optimize Performance: Optimize both front-end and back-end for maximum speed and scalability, including code-splitting, lazy loading, and caching techniques.
API Integration: Work closely with the back-end team to integrate RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints, ensuring smooth data flow between the front-end and back-end.
Testing & Debugging: Write unit and integration tests for React components using Jest, React Testing Library, or similar frameworks.
Code Reviews & Best Practices: Participate in code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards, scalability, and maintainability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience working with React.js, Next.js, and Node.js.
API Integration: Familiarity with integrating third-party APIs, handling RESTful or GraphQL services.
Version Control: Solid experience using Git, including knowledge of branching, merging, and pull requests (preferably on platforms like GitHub or GitLab).
Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile workflows (Scrum, Kanban) and tools like Jira, Trello, etc.
Able to be onsite in Utrecht (2 days/week preference)
