Data Scientist

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our team in Porto. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and Python development to deliver insights that drive smarter business decisions and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy data-driven models and machine learning solutions.
• Perform data exploration, cleaning, and feature engineering to support predictive and analytical models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, business) to define data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Develop scalable data pipelines and contribute to the improvement of existing data infrastructure.
• Visualize and communicate complex data findings in a clear and compelling way.
• Apply best practices in model validation, testing, and monitoring.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python and its data ecosystem (Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn, etc.).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Plotly, Power BI, or similar).
• Solid understanding of statistical methods, machine learning techniques, and model evaluation.
• Familiarity with SQL and data management.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model (1x per week on-site in Porto).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate data insights into business recommendations.

Nice to Have

• Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Familiarity with MLOps practices and deployment of models into production.
