Automation QA Engineer - Inside IR35 Contract - Energy Trading

A major European energy company is looking to hire a QA Engineer to support the quality assurance operations for their digital trading operations.

As a QA Engineer, you will be the sole QA for a high-performing development team who supports commodity trading operations. You will be supporting multiple platforms that support; external clients, internal trading tools and overall trading operations.

Your goal is to support the improvement of the end-to-end trading workflow and IT change management process.

This role is predominantly automation (80%) with some manual testing for the frontend (20%).

Day rate: 650 Inside IR35

Hybrid: 2 days per week to Central London

Requirements:

• Strong automation experience with Specflow/ReqnRoll, and Playwright
• Good experience with SQL (data mapping and data flow testing)
• Good understanding and experience with Python
• Willingness to be the sole QA for a high-performing team and the wider cope of responsibilities (governance, change management, info security)
• Must have experience supporting high-risk trading operations (FX, Crypto, Commodities)
• Desirable experience in software engineering (SDET), but with a heavier focus on testing
• Highly desirable experience working within Commodity Trading (Preferably Metals),
