Role: Junior Full Stack Engineer

Salary range: £25,000 - £35,000

Location: 4 days on site, London

Tech stack: React, Node, Typescript, Tailwind, React Native

A fast-growing logistics company (serving the hospitality sector) is hiring a Junior Full Stack Engineer to help build the next generation of tools powering one of the most operationally complex industries in the UK.

This isn’t a VC-backed startup or a corporate tech role. It’s a small, focused, founder-led business that’s profitable, scaling fast, and looking to reinvent how logistics works through custom software. Think of it as a startup inside a real-world business — no fluff, just impact.

You’ll be part of a small, high-trust, high-autonomy team that acts more like a special ops unit than a traditional dev squad. You’ll have influence over architecture, design, and direction — and a real stake in what you’re building.

What you'll do:

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable internal and external-facing tools
• Collaborate directly with technical founders, scientists, and investors
• Drive product discovery with a mix of engineering insight and experimentation
• Lead technical design decisions and mentor junior team members over time
• Contribute to a long-term vision of enabling impact-driven innovation at scale

Essentials for this role:

• 1+ years of experience as a software engineer, ideally across multiple domains
• Demonstrated ability to ship and maintain high-quality products end-to-end
• Strong product sense — you think beyond the code and care about the why
• Ability to work independently and thrive in ambiguity
• Clear, thoughtful communicator who values collaboration and feedback

Bonus experience (not required):

• Background in early-stage startups, venture studios, or R&D environments
• Experience with data pipelines, analytics tooling, or low-code platforms
• Contributions to open-source projects or public-facing engineering work
• Interest in supporting mission-driven founders and scientific innovation
