Junior AI Engineer (Graduate Developer – AI & Data Science)

Location: Leatherhead, South of South London (3 days on-site, 2 days in office)

Work Model: Hybrid, with the option to move fully remote after completing a 3-month probation period

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 DOE

We are seeking a Masters-level Junior AI Engineer to join a dynamic team building next-generation AI and data-driven solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious graduate to gain hands-on experience, contribute to impactful projects, and develop under the guidance of experienced industry leaders.

The role begins with a 3-month probation period, after which you will have the option to transition to a fully remote arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams to design and develop AI-driven solutions that address complex business challenges.
• Assist in building and deploying machine learning models to deliver actionable insights.
• Conduct data analysis and support the development of enterprise-level software solutions.
• Support the testing and refinement of AI and data science features to optimise performance.
• Continuously learn and apply the latest AI, machine learning, and data science techniques.
• Document technical specifications, processes, and code to ensure clarity and maintainability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• A Master’s (or Bachelor’s with strong experience) in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Proficiency in programming with Python, R, or Java.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Practical knowledge of data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Previous internship or project experience in AI, data science, or SaaS product development.
• Certifications in AI, data science, or cloud computing.
