Job Description: DAON Engineer
Location: Melbourne
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven DAON Engineer with proven expertise in the DAON Identity Platform and TrustX framework. This role is critical in designing and delivering secure, scalable, and user-friendly biometric authentication and digital identity solutions. The ideal candidate will work independently, take full ownership of deliverables, and ensure seamless integration of DAON services into enterprise platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain digital identity verification and biometric authentication solutions using DAON IdentityX and TrustX.
- Integrate DAON SDKs and services into mobile and web applications.
- Support end-to-end onboarding and lifecycle management of user identities.
- Collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable identity solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with DAON SDKs, APIs, and TrustX configurations.
- Develop and maintain documentation, technical guides, and knowledge-sharing resources.
- Ensure compliance with industry security, privacy, and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Operate independently, effectively manage priorities, and deliver on complex projects with minimal supervision.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with DAON identity solutions (e.g., IdentityX, TrustX).
- Strong understanding of biometric authentication technologies (face, voice, fingerprint).
- Proven experience with DAON TrustX configuration, integration, and deployment.
- Expertise in RESTful APIs and SDK integration for iOS, Android, and web platforms.
- Familiarity with IAM protocols such as OAuth2, SAML, and OpenID Connect.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical and production issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and own deliverables end-to-end.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in highly regulated industries such as financial services or healthcare.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
