Security Consultant

PAM Subject Matter Expert - 6+ month contract - Oslo/Helsinki/Stockholm/Gdansk

About the Role

We are partnered with a leading global bank in their search for a Senior PAM Subject Matter Expert to join their Identity & Access Management (IAM) organisation.

In this position, you will be responsible for advancing and optimising the bank’s PAM capabilities. You will work on developing strategic roadmaps, closing security gaps, and leading initiatives to improve resilience. Alongside Developers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and Business Analysts, you will ensure privileged access controls are embedded effectively across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discussions with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements for new projects and improvements.
• Partner with Product Owners, Process Owners and IAM Architects to raise the maturity of the PAM platform.
• Contribute to strategic planning, including roadmap creation and long-term capability development.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to establish robust PAM controls and processes.
• Carry out application risk assessments, address issues, and drive mitigation plans.

Required Experience & Knowledge

• Proven expertise with CyberArk or similar enterprise PAM solutions.
• Strong technical understanding of PAM ecosystems, dependencies, and their impact on broader IT infrastructure.
• Solid grasp of IAM best practices across both cloud and on-premises environments.
• Understanding of key identity security principles, such as Zero Trust, Segregation of Duties, and Least Privilege.
• Experience working in or alongside DevOps teams.
• Knowledge of IT processes and system development lifecycles.
• Awareness of cybersecurity and IT standards/frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 2700x, COBIT, ITIL).
• Familiarity with directory services, operating systems, databases, and networking.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated, structured, and proactive, with the ability to connect technical and business perspectives.

Desirable

• Industry-recognised certifications in IT Security or Cyber Security.
