DevOps Engineer (All Genders)

About our client:

Our client is a company builder based in Cologne with a strong focus on digital business models in banking, insurance, and financial services. In interdisciplinary teams, they design and implement modern software solutions, from the initial idea to live operations.

Location: Remote within Germany (occasional team workshops in Cologne every 6 weeks; expenses covered)

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: €75,000 – €85,000/year

Your Role:

• Support the Solution Engineering team in designing modular IT solutions
• Contribute to cloud-based applications and modern software architectures
• Apply DevOps principles: CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, containerization
• Analyze and optimize existing processes and solutions
• Take independent responsibility as a Cloud Services Expert with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Contribute to frontend-related tasks (e.g. JavaScript) in close collaboration with developers and Product Owners

Your Profile:

• Degree in Business, IT, or a related field
• Initial hands-on experience in software development or IT system analysis
• Strong interest in cloud technologies (especially GCP), DevOps, and agile product development
• Structured and self-driven working style with high ownership
• Ideally, some exposure to CI/CD, Git, Docker, or Terraform
• Willingness to engage in frontend-oriented tasks (JavaScript) and expand knowledge in this area
