Data Analyst

Job Title: Data Analyst - temporary assignment

Location: Utrecht (Hybrid)

About the Role:

For Protiviti, we are looking for a skill Data Analyst to establish a single source of truth and integrate it into DBT (Data Build Tool). This role require a strong mix of data, business, and technical expertise to support data modeling, transformation, governance, and collaboration across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data models using DBT (models, tests, seeds, snapshots, macros).
• Ensure data normalization and denormalization processes align with business needs.
• Define and manage KPIs and product analytics metrics.
• Align data models with business use cases and design a measurement plan.
• Work with product analytics tools and cloud platforms (Google Cloud preferred).
• Validate and test data in DBT (dbt test) to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Define data contracts, SLAs, and implement version control (Git) and documentation (Colibra).
• Collaborate with engineering teams to align data sources and improve data pipeline efficiency.
• Engage with business stakeholders to ensure data models serve strategic objectives.
• Provide clear documentation and definitions for KPIs and data models.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling techniques.
• Hands-on experience with DBT and its core components.
• Understanding of product analytics and relevant KPIs.
• Experience with cloud platforms, ideally Google Cloud.
• Data governance knowledge, including validation, testing, and documentation best practices.
• Familiarity with Git for version control and Colibra for documentation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment and engage with multiple stakeholders.
• Immediately available for a temporary assignment
• Able to work onsite in Utrecht
