We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Infrastructure Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience with public cloud platforms, a strong background in networking, systems administration, automation, and a passion for building resilient cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms such as VMware Cloud Director, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using tools like Terraform.
- Monitor cloud systems to ensure availability, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Development teams to support cloud-native applications and services.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Ensure cloud environments adhere to company security policies and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, SOC2, HIPAA).
- Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization.
- Troubleshoot system and network issues across cloud and on-prem hybrid environments.
- Document infrastructure designs, procedures, and policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with public cloud services (VMWare Cloud Director, AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong knowledge of networking, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with IaC tools: Terraform.
- Familiarity with container technologies: Openshift, Kubernetes, and orchestration platforms.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Agile mindset and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering or a similar role.
- Relevant cloud certifications
- Experience with hybrid cloud or migration projects.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance (ISO 27001, etc.).
