Java Software Engineer

We are looking for a Java Engineer to join our client who is a global financial institution. You will play a key role in designing, building, and enhancing high-performance trading applications that support the Fixed Income business. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with traders, quants, and other technologists to deliver scalable and reliable trading solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based trading applications supporting Fixed Income products (bonds, repos, credit, interest rates, etc.).
• Build low-latency, high-throughput systems for order execution, pricing, and risk management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Write clean, testable, and efficient code; contribute to code reviews and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in real time.
• Continuously improve system performance, monitoring, and automation.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 -8 years of experience as a Java Software Engineer, preferably within financial services.
• Mandatory experience with Fixed Income products (bonds, repos, interest rate derivatives, credit).
• Strong expertise in Core Java (collections, concurrency, multithreading, JVM internals).
• Experience with low-latency systems and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of messaging frameworks (Kafka, JMS, Tibco, etc.).
• Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and caching solutions.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in trading environments.
• Excellent communication skills and team collaboration.
