IT Manager (Application Support)

Responsibilities

• Manage system development according to SDLC processes - user requirement, system design and review, building the system, testing and quality assurance, and deployment.
• Provide application support for vendor-supplied and in-house developed systems to the Data Centre Operations team, including operational procedures, checklists, and automation. This also encompasses support for the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP).
• Monitor and liaise with vendors regarding issues reported by users, support the testing of fixes from vendors and in-house development, and manage the migration of changes to the production environment.
• Provide production support and troubleshooting to ensure application availability for banking operations, including end-of-day batch processing outside of normal office hours.
• Security administration of user profile and access control of application systems.
• Enforcement of security across applications, including user profile management, program migration processes, use of powerful IDs, and updates to IT policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Manage the change migration of fix from vendors and in-house development.
• Participate/lead in IT projects as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ working experience in application development/support
• Experienced in SDLC of banking application implementation; change control and version control
• Strong working knowledge of RPG, COBOL, CL/400, Query/400 and IBM I (AS400) operating system
• Good knowledge of core banking and banking products such as Deposits, Loans and Trade Finance
• Knowledge of Message Queue (MQ), RedHat, and Java will be an advantage
