Join a leading consultancy based in Abu Dhabi as a Director of Data Strategy. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape and drive data strategy, with an emphasis on Microsoft data services, within our delivery function.

As a key leader, you will define the strategic direction for data management and monetization efforts, collaborating with stakeholders to design technical and operational frameworks. This position calls for a visionary mindset, an in-depth understanding of data-driven business strategies, and the ability to work cross-functionally to support both internal teams and client initiatives.

DISCOVER THE RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Director of Data Strategy, your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing a Data Strategy Framework: Spearhead the design and execution of the consultancy’s data strategy within Microsoft environments and delivery workflows.
• Technical Problem-Solving: Address strategic and technical challenges by working closely with both internal teams and clients to translate needs into actionable data strategies.
• Customer-Focused Delivery: Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and translate those into effective data strategies that drive measurable outcomes.
• Data Monetization: Lead the development of marketable data products and services to capitalize on data monetization opportunities within data marketplaces.
• Technical Leadership and Advising: Act as a trusted advisor to technical leads, architects, and directors on data architecture, platform implementation, and emerging technologies.
• Strategic Guidance: Ensure alignment between business objectives and data strategies, promoting data-driven growth and innovation across departments.

DISCOVER THE REQUIREMENTS

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

• Extensive experience in a data strategy leadership role, ideally within a Microsoft-centric environment.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in Data Leadership/Data Strategy consulting roles
• Proficiency in building and implementing data strategies, Standards, and technical frameworks.
• Strong technical background in data architecture, Azure cloud, and data management tools.
• Experience in data monetization and developing marketable data products.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A collaborative mindset and experience advising technical leads, architects, and directors.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Knowledge of Microsoft’s data and analytics stack, including Azure Data Services and Power BI.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly for strategic and technical challenges.
