Software Engineer II

Required Skills

• 4–6 years of hands-on experience with PHP (v8.x) and Laravel (v8+), with solid OOP concepts.
• Proficiency in MySQL (v8.x) — database design, indexing, query optimization and data migration.
• Strong experience creating responsive layouts using Bootstrap (v4+) and Tailwind CSS.
• Expertise in RESTful API development and integration (authentication, pagination, performance optimization).
• Familiarity with Git (branching, merging, pull requests, version tagging).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using PHP 8+ and Laravel 8+.
• Implement responsive and modern UI components with React.js 18+, Tailwind CSS 3+, and Bootstrap 4+.
• Design and manage relational database schemas in MySQL 8, including:
• Data normalization and indexing.
• Writing optimized queries and using profiling tools.
• Managing migrations with Laravel tools and seeders.
• Integrate and consume RESTful APIs, ensuring scalability and security.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and developers to deliver end-to-end features.
• Perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and apply performance best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and profile applications for performance improvements.

Good to Have

• Basic knowledge of third-party API integrations such as:
• Microsoft Teams (webhooks, video calling APIs)
• Exotel (calling APIs)
• 1+ year experience with React.js (v18+) and Tailwind CSS (v3+) for building dynamic, modern UIs.
