Overview:

An opportunity has arisen for an Agile Team Lead to join a high-profile project within a central government agency. The successful candidate will play a key role in guiding agile delivery teams, ensuring best practices, and driving successful outcomes across critical public sector programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support agile teams, facilitating delivery of high-quality services.
• Act as Scrum Master / Delivery Manager, promoting agile principles and continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across government and public sector organisations.
• Remove blockers, manage dependencies, and enable teams to deliver effectively.
• Ensure transparency of delivery progress and risks through reporting and ceremonies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working within central government or public sector environments.
• Strong background in Agile methodologies with experience as a Scrum Master and/or Delivery Manager.
• Demonstrable ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams in a complex environment.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Active SC Clearance (mandatory).

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with scaled agile environments (SAFe, LeSS).
• Knowledge of government digital services (GDS) standards.
• Previous involvement in large-scale transformation programmes.
