We seek a highly skilled Lead [dot]NET Developer to guide the technical aspects of a robust ASP[dot]NET application and spearhead its migration to an AWS containerized environment.
This position demands proficiency in [dot]NET development, AWS cloud services, and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication abilities, provide strategic technical leadership, and have hands-on experience collaborating effectively with US-based stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the technical management of an existing ASP[dot]NET application, including C# and VB[dot]NET components
- Define and implement strategies to transition the application to an AWS containerized environment
- Apply necessary updates, refactor code for cloud compatibility, and facilitate architectural integration with AWS-based modules
- Collaborate with the customer and project architects to align technical recommendations with business priorities
- Enable seamless functional integration with other cloud-hosted systems
- Determine performance optimization techniques leveraging tools like Redis caching and ASP[dot]NET Core hosted services
- Document, explain, and present technical decisions and solutions to stakeholders
- Analyze and reverse-engineer the application’s functional logic to identify possibilities for redesign
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the application as needed
- Ensure adherence to high standards of code quality in line with project objectives
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in [dot]NET development and AWS projects
- Expertise in [dot]NET Core, [dot]NET Framework, ASP[dot]NET, ASP[dot]NET Core Hosted Services, and Microservice Architecture pattern
- Proficiency in AWS services including Amazon RDS, Elastic Kubernetes Service, and Simple Queue Service, with skills in Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of C#, Microsoft SQL Server, REST API, Redis, and SOAP APIs
- Familiarity with Amazon S3, CI/CD pipelines, Argo CD, Helm, and Visual Basic [dot]NET
- Understanding of container orchestration and cloud-native application design principles
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- English proficiency at the level of B2 or above
- AWS certification
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Akka and Docker Registry to support system performance and reliability
- Background in Redis architecture for implementing caching and optimization strategies
- Proficiency in Visual Basic [dot]NET for maintaining legacy VB[dot]NET components
