Overview of Role

Our client is on the lookout for an experienced Senior C# .Net Developer with strong full stack development skills, using Microsoft technologies, to join an internal project team. The role involves maintaining and improving existing web applications, including public-facing registration systems, shared student information systems, and APIs. Initially, the focus will be on working with a reporting tool integrated with external systems, requiring advanced SQL and reporting expertise. The position calls for solid experience with web security, Azure AD Identity and Access Management (ENTRA), and the full software development life-cycle on medium to large-scale projects. You will need a minimum of fifteen years practical experience in web software development.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Work on existing public-facing and internal web applications, including registration systems and student information systems.
• Develop and maintain APIs for data transfer between external and internal systems.
• Implement and manage Azure AD Identity and Access Management (ENTRA) in medium/large scale applications.
• Apply advanced SQL skills for interrogation of data-sets and reporting integrated with external systems.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

• Strong full stack development experience using Microsoft technologies: C#, .NET Core 3.1, MVC framework.
• Proficient in front-end technologies: TypeScript/JavaScript, CSS/SASS/Bootstrap, XSL/XML, AJAX/jQuery.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, including writing advanced queries and managing large data-sets.
• Demonstrated expertise in Object-Oriented Design, .NET libraries including ADO.NET, Document Object Model (DOM), and design patterns.
• Experience writing unit tests and working securely with authentication mechanisms, including OpenID.
• Strong understanding of web security aspects and interoperability challenges.

Experience:

• Minimum of fifteen years practical experience in web software development.
• Extensive experience working on medium and large-scale projects with responsibility from analysis through deployment and maintenance.
• Proven record in enterprise-level software solution development, including security management for public-facing websites.

Education & Certifications:

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Relevant certifications in Microsoft technologies, Web Development, or Azure AD (desirable but not mandatory).

Visa: Irish/EU Citizen or Stamp 4 Visa holder.
