Build the Next Generation of AI Products with TensorOps
TensorOps is an applied machine learning studio helping organizations worldwide plan, design, train, and deploy production-grade ML systems. We believe that diverse backgrounds strengthen our team and are excited to offer an internship for students from the life sciences who are passionate about transitioning into software and AI. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your analytical skills from biotechnology and apply them to cutting-edge machine learning challenges.
What We’re Working On
- Generative AI applications: Chatbots and Agents
- Traditional Machine Learning: Time Series Forecasting, AdTech, Computer Vision, etc.
- MLOps: Improving ML pipelines at scale
As we work with many clients, our stack varies, but you will gain exposure to:
- Python APIs: FastAPI
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
- Model Training & Serving: LightGBM, CatBoost, PyTorch, HuggingFace
- Data Engineering: Pandas, Polars
- LLM Frameworks: LangChain, LangGraph
- Observability: MLFlow, Langfuse
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCP
We’re looking for an AI/ML Engineering Intern to join us for a 3-month intensive program. This role is specifically designed for students with a background in biotechnology or related fields who want to build a new career in tech. You’ll report to and be mentored by a senior team member, working on real projects that make a tangible impact from day one. Our goal is to provide you with the foundational skills for a successful career in machine learning.
Who We're Looking For
- Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a BSc or MSc in Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or a related life sciences field.
- Passion: A demonstrable passion for software development and AI, perhaps through personal projects, online courses, or self-study.
- Programming Skills: Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python.
- Fundamentals: A foundational understanding of programming concepts (e.g., data structures, object-oriented principles).
- Curiosity: An eagerness to learn about LLM system design (RAG, agents) and ML system design (pipelines, training/inference).
- Communication: Excellent English communication skills.
- Career Transition: A dedicated pathway from biotech into the world of AI.
- Real-World Impact: Work on real-world projects, benefit from rapid feedback loops, and see your measurable impact.
- Mentorship: Learn from experienced engineers who have shipped ML systems at scale.
- Growth Path: This internship is a direct pipeline to a full-time role. Exceptional interns will be considered for a Junior Machine Learning Engineer position (€25,000-€40,000 annual salary) upon successful completion of the program.
- Internship Salary: €15,000-€20,000 (annual, prorated for the 3-month duration).
- Full-Time Potential: A clear path to a full-time engineering role with a salary of €25,000-€40,000.
- Benefits: Travel expenses allowance and an Urban Sports Club membership.
