AI/ML Engineering Intern (Biotech Transition)

What We’re Working On
- Generative AI applications: Chatbots and Agents
- Traditional Machine Learning: Time Series Forecasting, AdTech, Computer Vision, etc.
- MLOps: Improving ML pipelines at scale
As we work with many clients, our stack varies, but you will gain exposure to:
- Python APIs: FastAPI
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
- Model Training & Serving: LightGBM, CatBoost, PyTorch, HuggingFace
- Data Engineering: Pandas, Polars
- LLM Frameworks: LangChain, LangGraph
- Observability: MLFlow, Langfuse
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCP
We’re looking for an AI/ML Engineering Intern to join us for a 3-month intensive program. You’ll report to and be mentored by a senior team member, working on real projects that make a tangible impact from day one. Our goal is to provide you with the foundational skills for a successful career in machine learning.
Who We're Looking For
- Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a BSc or MSc in Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or a related life sciences field.
- Passion: A demonstrable passion for software development and AI, perhaps through personal projects, online courses, or self-study.
- Programming Skills: Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python.
- Fundamentals: A foundational understanding of programming concepts (e.g., data structures, object-oriented principles).
- Curiosity: An eagerness to learn about LLM system design (RAG, agents) and ML system design (pipelines, training/inference).
- Communication: Excellent English communication skills.
- Career Transition: A dedicated pathway from biotech into the world of AI.
- Real-World Impact: Work on real-world projects, benefit from rapid feedback loops, and see your measurable impact.
- Mentorship: Learn from experienced engineers who have shipped ML systems at scale.
- Growth Path: This internship is a direct pipeline to a full-time role. Exceptional interns will be considered for a Junior Machine Learning Engineer position (€25,000-€40,000 annual salary) upon successful completion of the program.
- Internship Salary: €15,000-€20,000 (annual, prorated for the 3-month duration).
- Full-Time Potential: A clear path to a full-time engineering role with a salary of €25,000-€40,000.
