Project Manager

About the role:

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our dynamic Projects & Programmes Practice within Computacenter. In this role, you'll lead smaller-scale customer or internal assignments, or support senior Project Managers on larger programmes, delivering real business value across a range of sectors.

Whether delivering independently or as part of a virtual team, you’ll gain experience managing the full project lifecycle—from planning and stakeholder engagement to financial tracking and project closure. Responsibilities:

• Manage small to medium-sized projects or workstreams, from initiation through to closure.
• Contribute to pre-sales activities including scope definition, planning, and Statement of Work (SoW) support.
• Create and maintain project documentation, schedules, and reports.
• Track risks, issues, dependencies, and changes using internal project tools.
• Coordinate internal and external resources, including third parties and service providers.
• Communicate regularly with customers and internal stakeholders on project status.
• Ensure project deliverables are completed to quality, cost, and time expectations.
• Support financial reporting through tools such as PEAT and Project Financial Reports (PFRs).
• Adhere to Computacenter’s governance processes and project management standards.
• Work with cross-functional teams across Consultancy, Engineering, Managed Services, and Sales.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the project management practice.

Requirements:

• 2-3+ years’ experience in project coordination or project management roles.
• Foundation-level training in PRINCE2 or other project methodologies (working towards Practitioner).
• Good understanding of project lifecycles, governance, and delivery models (e.g., Fixed Price, T&M).
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
• Familiarity with project and financial management tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel, PEAT).
• Excellent organisational, planning, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a matrixed team across multiple locations.
• Excellent use of English, spoken and written.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience delivering IT or infrastructure-related projects.
• Awareness of Agile methods or hybrid delivery approaches.
• Membership or interest in professional bodies (e.g., APM, PMI, BCS).
• Exposure to customer-facing roles in a services-led business.
