Job Description – Java Developer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite 3 days per week, Hybrid)

Duration: 12 + months

About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with prior Walmart project experience. The role involves building and maintaining enterprise-scale backend systems that power Walmart’s retail and e-commerce platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain microservices and backend systems using Core Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build and optimize REST APIs for scalability and high performance.
  • Collaborate with Walmart engineering and product teams to deliver solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and data integration frameworks.
  • Ensure secure, efficient, and reliable system operations.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and production support as needed.

Required Skills

  • Mandatory: Prior experience working with Walmart projects.
  • 5+ years of Java development experience (Java 8+, Spring Boot, REST APIs).
  • Microservices, messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
  • Databases: Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra.
  • Familiarity with cloud (GCP, Azure, or Walmart Cloud).
  • CI/CD (Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes).
