C++ Developer

We are looking for a seasoned C++ Developer to oversee the transformation of a complex, legacy on-premise application into a modern, scalable solution.

This position focuses on moving services to a Linux-based AWS platform, refining existing code, and optimizing database operations to ensure peak performance and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to assess the architecture of the legacy application and plan modernization approaches
• Validate modernization technologies by creating and testing Proof of Concepts (PoCs)
• Migrate application services to an AWS cloud platform leveraging Linux and containerization
• Improve and restructure C and C++ codebases for better efficiency and maintainability
• Employ Jenkins to configure and sustain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and builds
• Work with the database team to transition Oracle databases to Oracle RDS or Aurora DB while maintaining data accuracy
• Document workflows, architectural updates, and troubleshooting strategies while offering consistent updates
• Resolve technical challenges encountered throughout migration and development phases
• Convert mainframe services running on MVS and integrate them with the proprietary communication protocol

Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in software development with expertise in C and C++ (COM and COM Interop)
• Familiarity with Windows on-premise environments and Linux system infrastructure
• Knowledge of Oracle databases and transitioning them to Oracle RDS or Aurora DB
• Proficiency in AWS cloud technologies and containerization tools such as Docker
• Expertise in configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
• Competency in performance tuning, including profiling, identifying bottlenecks, and code refactoring
• Advanced English communication with a minimum proficiency at B2 level

Nice to have

• Background in Java and C# for legacy application refactoring
• Experience working with custom application servers and proprietary communication methods
• Understanding of transitioning mainframe services to modern cloud architectures
• Skills in consolidating Oracle database schemas and optimizing cursor utilization
