Android Engineer | Leading Fintech | Fully Remote (UK/EU) | Up to £75k base

A leading fintech is on a mission to make consumer finance simpler, smarter, and more customer-focused. Backed by major private equity funds and trusted by household names, they’re scaling rapidly and investing heavily in their technology platforms.

We’re now hiring an Android Engineer to join a high-performing Technology team, working in agile squads to deliver a mobile-first platform at scale.

What you’ll do

• Deliver a variety of business-led features and platform-led technical initiatives
• Build modern UIs with Jetpack Compose
• Work with Kotlin, Coroutines & Flow to build reactive, scalable solutions
• Collaborate with product, design, and cross-platform engineers
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code and contribute to technical discussions

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience developing consumer-facing Android apps in Kotlin
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose, Flow, and Dependency Injection
• Strong understanding of design patterns, SOLID, and clean architecture
• Ability to write reliable tests (JUnit, Espresso, Mockito/MockK)
• Bonus: experience with Koin, Room/Realm, Jetpack Navigation, accessibility, or exposure to iOS/Web

Recruitment Process

• 1 stage process: 1.5 hour interview focused on your experience around Java, Kotlin, Compose with Architecture questions, understanding the why of projects and reasoning behind trade offs.
