Mobile Engineer

We are working with a fast-growing health-tech business that is looking to hire a Senior Mobile Developer to join their talented engineering team. This is a pivotal hire that will act as a bridge between the Android and iOS development teams, while driving forward a strategic initiative to adopt Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) to improve efficiency and code quality across both platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Feature Development: Design, develop, and implement new features for cross-platform mobile applications (Android & iOS) with a focus on quality and user experience.
• Cross-Platform Collaboration: Partner closely with Android and iOS developers to ensure consistency and best practices across platforms.
• Kotlin Multiplatform Strategy: Lead the adoption and implementation of KMP to create a shared backend codebase.
• Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship within the mobile team, acting as a go-to technical authority.
• Product Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver robust solutions.
• Code Quality: Champion best practices including code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD.
• Innovation: Keep on top of emerging trends and recommend relevant new tools or approaches.

About You

• Proven experience as a Senior Mobile Developer with a portfolio of shipped Android and iOS applications.
• Strong expertise in Kotlin, with good working knowledge of Swift.
• Experience with, or strong interest in, Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP).
• Deep understanding of mobile architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVI) and a passion for clean, testable code.
• Experience in application architecture and contributing to long-term technical decisions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to bridge cross-platform teams.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
