📍 Location: Dublin (Hybrid – 3 days on-site)

⏳ Duration: 6-month initial term, rolling contract

Stelfox is looking for a skilled Senior Backend Developer - Java & Python for one of our clients based in Dublin. The ideal candidates should have a minimum of 5 to 8+ years of commercial experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance and maintain complex business applications
• Collaborate with global tech teams to streamline systems and reduce redundancies
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Contribute to innovation and the release of new features and products
• Provide expert-level support for trading platforms and resolve urgent front-office issues
• Analyse incomplete or unclear data to identify root causes and implement long-term fixes
• Maintain clear documentation to support business growth and technical transparency

Skills & Qualifications

• Languages: Strong hands-on experience with Java and Python
• Databases: SQL, NoSQL
• Version Control: Git, SVN
• Frameworks: Flask, FastAPI, Tornado
• APIs & Protocols: REST, GraphQL, Websockets
• Concepts: ETL, Dependency Acyclic Graphs
• Finance Knowledge: FICC, Derivatives, Investment Banking Products
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication
• Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
