Project Manager Delivery Projects (m/w/d)

For our client, an international company based in Zurich, we are looking for a Project Manager Delivery Projects (m/w/d).

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 5-6 months (with a possibility for extension or a permanent position)
• Working Hours: 80 - 100%
• Home-Office: after agreement with the manager

Your responsibilities:

• Manage technical projects for steel structures, from the initial sales phase through design, production, and final on-site assembly
• Take full technical and commercial responsibility for project execution, ensuring all work complies with relevant standards, timelines, budgets, and material specifications
• Collaborate with sales, project management, engineering, and customers to define and refine project requirements
• Serve as the key liaison between our Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) project engineering and steel support engineering teams
• Lead and coordinate project engineering activities for teams in Brno, Czech Republic, and Chennai, India, as well as external partners
• Initiate supply chain processes for the creation and fabrication of steel structures and platforms
• Conduct thorough quality checks on deliverables to ensure they align with project and customer requirements
• Drive the resolution of quality issues related to steel on-site and in factories, ensuring compliance with relevant standards
• Document and share lessons learned from projects, and propose and implement process improvements
• Provide ongoing support to factories to resolve quality cases (Q cases) and assist site teams with non-conformance reports (NCRs)
• Analyze root causes of quality and project issues and help develop sustainable solutions to prevent them from happening again

Your qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a similar field. A technical degree with 10–15 years of work experience in a relevant field will also be considered.
• Minimum of three years of experience managing projects of varying sizes and complexities
• Proven experience in technical project management within civil engineering
• Experience in steel construction is a plus, and knowledge of Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) is a significant advantage
• Proficiency with CAD software (2D and 3D-Auto-CAD) is required
• Experience with BIM software like Tekla Structures is an advantage
• Knowledge of structural analysis programs such as SCIA Engineer or STAAD Pro is a plus
• Familiarity with standards such as EC, AISC, Building codes, and EN 1090 is desirable
• Experience with SAP is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, along with experience in intercultural cooperation
• Fluent in English. German language skills are a significant advantage.
