Your Role

As part of the Patent Operations team within the Patents & Scientific Services function, the role focuses on managing Intellectual Property (IP) systems and supporting assigned projects. The responsibilities include defining project scope and objectives, maintaining schedules, and facilitating project meetings. The role involves capturing functional application requirements, supporting data security-related topics, and overseeing the management of IP applications. It also includes creating and maintaining documentation related to applications, interfaces, and processes. Continuous improvement of the operating environment and processes is a key part of the position, along with planning, implementation, and control activities. The individual will provide training on relevant applications and processes, act as the first point of contact for technical and procedural support, and analyze data to generate standard IP business reports. Additional responsibilities include supporting software distribution and packaging, conducting technical and functional testing of software applications, and delivering first-level system support. Coordination with second-level support, internal IT teams, and third-party vendors is essential, as is active collaboration with user groups and business peers to ensure smooth operations and system reliability.

Who You Are

• 1-3 years of experience with programming languages, API coding experience is a plus
• Experience with SQL and relational databases, Cloud and SaaS
• Project management skills: planning, organizing, attention to detail, managing competing priorities, analytical and systems thinking
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (preferably Computer Science), comparable qualification or equivalent working experience
• Self-motivated and highly organized with a high-level drive for results and perseverance while acting in a professional and positive manner with minimal direction
• Experience in the IP field and with IP systems will be considered a plus
