About the Role 

We are seeking a skilled and analytical Backend Developer with strong command over Golang, .NET, C++, and C# to help design, build, and maintain microservices in a high-performance, scalable environment. The ideal candidate has excellent database design skills, thinks through edge cases during service design, and thrives in a startup environment where speed, clarity, and quality matter. 

You will work closely with product and engineering teams to develop reliable backend systems, integrate AI capabilities, and ensure resilient, observable, and well-documented services—while maintaining excellent communication across time zones. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Design and develop robust backend services and APIs using Golang, .NET (C#), and C++. 
• Architect and implement event-driven microservices with fault-tolerant messaging. 
• Apply strong relational and non-relational database design skills with attention to performance and integrity. 
• Proactively think through edge cases, failure scenarios, and scalability in service design. 
• Integrate AI features through Azure OpenAI and Cognitive Services. 
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps. 
• Implement and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms. 
• Maintain clean, well-commented code and follow Git branching and commit standards. 
• Document system behavior, decisions, and usage in Notion. 
• Adhere to TDD practices, and clearly document test strategies and outcomes. 
• Collaborate effectively across competitive, distributed teams in fast-paced environments. 
• Be available for key collaboration windows in PST/EST time zones. 

Required Skills & Qualifications 

• 3–6 years of backend development experience. 
• Proficient in Golang, .NET (C#), and C++, with solid software engineering fundamentals. 
• Proven experience designing and implementing microservices and event-based architectures. 
• Strong skills in SQL and NoSQL database design, optimization, and management. 
• Experience working with Azure Cloud Services, including App Services, Event Grid, Key Vault, etc. 
• Practical knowledge of integrating AI APIs and services. 
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. 
• Proficient in maintaining structured, accessible technical documentation in Notion. 
• Familiarity with Git best practices, including branching strategies, pull requests, and commit hygiene. 
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across competitive, distributed teams. 
• Flexibility to collaborate during U.S. business hours (PST/EST) as needed. 

Nice to Have 

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container platforms. 
• Exposure to high-scale or multi-tenant applications. 
• Previous experience in early-stage startups or agile product teams. 
• Understanding of secure coding practices and compliance requirements.
