Reporting to: AVP, Internal Audit Data Analytics
Are you passionate about using data to drive meaningful insights and transform audit practices? We’re looking for a dynamic and hands-on analytics professional to join our Global Internal Audit team. In this high-impact role, you’ll lead strategic analytics initiatives, enable digital ways of working, and bring data science use cases to life across audit engagements.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead analytical project planning and execution for audit and advisory engagements.
- Collaborate with Audit teams to define scope, objectives, and deliverables, and perform data analytics procedures to evaluate controls and business objectives.
- Partner with IT and business units to understand data structures, availability, and access.
- Develop and execute data access plans and facilitate stakeholder discussions.
- Build deep business and systems knowledge across groups to support future analytics efforts.
- Design and implement proof-of-concept solutions for audit automation, continuous auditing, and monitoring.
- Apply programming, statistics, machine learning, and data visualization to uncover insights and enhance risk assurance.
- Contribute to audit strategy and process improvement through technology enablement.
- Develop and deliver analytics training for auditors in SQL, Python, and Tableau.
- Build strong internal and external networks within the analytics community.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in data analytics, including SQL, Python (NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn), and visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience with AWS SageMaker and statistical techniques such as regression, clustering, and anomaly detection.
- Proven ability to create impactful dashboards and presentations for senior leadership.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
- Deep understanding of IT, data analytics, digital processes, and internal controls in a corporate environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Data Science, AI, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields.
- 8+ years of experience in the financial industry, with 5+ years in Data Science or Machine Learning and 2+ years in NLP (experience with LLMs and generative AI is a plus).
- Demonstrated experience with digital platforms and technologies including web, mobile, databases, and personalization tools.
- Bonus: Experience with audit analytics tools such as Archer, Arbutus, Alteryx, or Dataiku.
