Web Designer & Social Media Manager – Freelance

A Sri Lanka–based tourism company is seeking a freelancer to redesign its incomplete company website and manage ongoing social media marketing. The goal is to establish a strong, consistent online presence that attracts international travelers and highlights the company’s services in an engaging and visually appealing way. This project begins with the website redesign but has the potential to grow into a long-term collaboration for social media management and content marketing. The freelancer will work remotely and collaborate directly with the company owner.

Deliverables

• Redesign and complete the company’s existing website, ensuring a polished, professional, and user-friendly layout.
• Optimize the website for desktop and mobile responsiveness.
• Integrate engaging visuals, travel-focused imagery, and clear calls to action that highlight tourism offerings.
• Manage social media platforms with regular posts, aligned with the brand’s identity and style references provided.
• Develop and schedule content for platforms such as Facebook and Instagram to attract and engage potential customers.
• Monitor engagement and suggest strategies to improve reach and visibility.
• Provide basic SEO and social media optimization to strengthen the company’s online presence.

Requirements

• Proven experience in website design and social media management, with a portfolio of past projects.
• Proficiency in WordPress, Wix, or other website-building platforms.
• Strong understanding of social media marketing strategies, particularly within travel or hospitality industries.
• Ability to create engaging graphics and written content for social media posts.
• Knowledge of SEO basics and digital marketing principles.
• Reliable communication and ability to work independently in a remote setup.
• Interest in or familiarity with the tourism industry is a plus.
