Senior Android Developer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Android Developer to join our team in delivering cutting-edge solutions for one of Greece's leading banks. This role involves contributing to a major digital transformation project that leverages agile methodologies and state-of-the-art development technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and maintain robust Android applications
• Implement user interfaces and functionality using Jetpack Compose and Kotlin Coroutines
• Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs to ensure seamless back-end interaction
• Write and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Perform unit testing to ensure reliability and proper functionality of Android applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve reported issues to improve application performance and stability
• Ensure code quality and collaboration using Azure DevOps as part of the continuous delivery process
• Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Stay up to date with Android development trends and apply best practices in application design and development

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Android development with Kotlin for Android
• Expertise in Jetpack Compose for building modern UI
• Proficiency in Kotlin Coroutines for concurrency handling
• Competency in integrating REST APIs with Android applications
• Proficiency in Unit Testing frameworks and tools
• Background in working with Azure DevOps for version control and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Scrum methodology and working within agile teams
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English (B2 level or higher)

Nice to have

• Background in digital banking applications
• Understanding of consumer-facing financial technologies
