Senior Data Analyst

About the Role

We’re working with a client who is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to design and deliver critical Power BI reporting solutions across the business. This is a hands-on, hybrid role based in Perth, where you’ll work on a mix of established and emerging projects, helping drive decision-making through clean, fast, and accurate data.

You’ll take ownership of reporting initiatives from end to end, partnering with stakeholders to gather requirements, building out dashboards in Power BI, supporting data engineers, and refining reports based on feedback. Alongside day-to-day delivery, you’ll also help improve internal reporting processes so the team can scale output more effectively.

You’ll be working on a range of high-value projects including FTE/resource management, headcount forecasting, and a decarbonisation initiative, as well as a brand-new reporting project that’s just kicking off.

This is a contract position offering up to $1,000 per day (inclusive of super), with 2 days working from home. You’ll be joining a collaborative, delivery-driven team working in a fast-paced but supportive environment.

You Should Have

• Proven experience delivering Power BI reports and dashboards in a commercial environment
• Strong proficiency in SQL
• Experience gathering and translating business requirements into clear reporting outputs
• Confidence working closely with stakeholders, clients, and data engineers
• A strong attention to detail and a focus on speed, accuracy, and usability

Nice to Have

• Experience with DAX for Power BI modelling
• Knowledge of Python for automation or data processing
• Exposure to resource planning or headcount forecasting analytics
• Familiarity with sustainability or decarbonisation data projects
• Ability to gather and act on user feedback to refine reporting tools

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards to support business insight
• Work closely with stakeholders and clients to gather requirements and define needs
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data pipelines align with reporting goals
• Support ongoing improvement of internal reporting processes and delivery timelines
• Deliver key analytics projects across resourcing, forecasting, and sustainability
• Contribute to a new Power BI project, helping shape direction from the ground up
• Incorporate feedback to continuously improve the usability and value of reporting tools
