Semi Sr Fullstack Developer (In-house)

At Workana, we're looking for a Semi Senior Fullstack Developer to join our internal team and help us build the future of our platform.

About The Role

We're seeking a developer who's strongest on the backend (Node.js) but also comfortable jumping into frontend tasks when needed. Today, parts of our platform still run on a PHP + Vue.js monolith, but we're actively moving toward a modern microservices architecture. This role is key: you'll play a central part in our migration while also building new features that will directly improve the experience for thousands of users across Latin America and beyond.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable features that drive our platform forward.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineers to ship meaningful improvements.
• Write clean, maintainable code with a strong focus on backend development in Node.js.
• Contribute to code reviews, pair programming, and the adoption of development best practices.
• Keep learning, experimenting, and sharing knowledge to help the whole team grow.
  
  

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a web developer (frontend, backend, or fullstack).
• Strong proficiency with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Solid understanding of web fundamentals and application architecture.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in remote teams.
  
  

Nice to have

• Experience with Vue.js, React.js, Next.js, or PHP.
• Familiarity or interest in Kubernetes.
• Background in marketplace platforms or other large-scale web products.

Contract details

• Modality: 100% remote
• Type: Contractor (freelance)
• Duration: Long-term (minimum 12 months)
• Compensation: USD 3,000 - 4,000 per month
