Network Specialist – NetOps Backbone

Do you want to be part of the backbone of our network operations? In this role, you’ll join a highly skilled team responsible for maintaining and optimizing our high-capacity backbone infrastructure, supporting nationwide and global IP-MPLS networks. We operate across 5 countries to maintain our Core / Backbone infrastructure, and as a Network Specialist you will act as the last line of defense to ensure seamless connectivity and reliability for our customers.

About Your Role

As a Network Specialist in our NetOps Backbone team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of our backbone network. You’ll be working hands-on with large-scale ISP and backbone environments, handling incidents, and driving improvements. This role also involves supporting maintenance windows, upgrades, and migrations—always with a strong focus on minimizing service impact.

Here are some examples of key responsibilities during a typical day:

• Ensure network reliability and rapid incident resolution for backbone infrastructure.
• Support and execute backbone network maintenance, upgrades, and migrations.
• Participate in on-call rotation to secure 24/7 network availability.
• Collaborate with cross-country operations teams to deliver seamless network services.
• Contribute to backbone network optimization, telemetry, and streaming analytics initiatives.

Who We Are Looking For

We’re looking for someone who thrives in high-pressure, fast-paced operational environments. You are analytical, solution-driven, and motivated by ensuring uptime and reliability in large-scale networks. With your strong problem-solving skills and ability to stay structured, you can balance hands-on technical tasks with effective time management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience supporting large-scale backbone or ISP networks.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS), and MPLS/VPNs.
• Experience with backbone telemetry and streaming analytics.
• Vendor knowledge across Juniper, Cisco, Nokia, Extreme, Huawei or similar.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP/SP, JNCIP, or equivalent are considered a strong plus.
