Project Manager

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: €40 - €80k (depending on experience)

Location: Kerry

Gi Group is hiring an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a large-scale public realm and utilities project. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a progressive civil engineering contractor delivering landmark infrastructure works across Ireland.

The Role

As Project Manager, you'll take full responsibility for leading the project team and ensuring the scheme is delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. You'll coordinate all aspects of site activities, manage subcontractors and resources, and act as the key liaison between the client, stakeholders, and the project team.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage site operations, ensuring compliance with HSQE standards.
  • Develop and monitor project programmes to meet deadlines and contractual requirements.
  • Control budgets, resources, and procurement to achieve commercial targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain partners.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to project teams.
  • Resolve technical and operational challenges to keep projects on track.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years' proven experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering.
  • Background in utilities, public realm, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Public Works Contracts (PWC) is advantageous.
  • Relevant engineering qualification desirable but not essential.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver projects from initiation to completion with a client-focused approach.
