Java Software Engineer

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Java Backend Developer with strong DevOps know-how to design, build, and optimize enterprise-grade backend systems. You will work on distributed, high-performance solutions in domains such as finance, healthcare, and data management, leveraging Java 17, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, Docker, and cloud-native microservices.

This role combines backend engineering excellence with hands-on DevOps skills, ensuring applications are built, deployed, monitored, and scaled reliably in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop backend services using Java (Spring Boot 2+/3+).
• Build and optimize SQL queries and database solutions across Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, and Teradata.
• Develop and maintain event-driven architectures with Apache Kafka for real-time data pipelines.
• Containerize and orchestrate services with Docker (and Kubernetes or equivalent cloud platforms).
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline design and improvements (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, and scaling.
• Implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs for secure and scalable integration.
• Champion clean code, system reliability, and performance optimization.
• Provide technical mentorship and help shape solution architecture.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years in backend development with proven enterprise-grade project delivery.
• Advanced expertise in Java 11/17, Spring Boot (2+/3+), and microservices.
• Strong SQL knowledge: query design, optimization, and database tuning (Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, Teradata, DB2).
• Hands-on with Apache Kafka for messaging/event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency in Docker; exposure to Kubernetes or other orchestration tools.
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).
• Familiarity with cloud deployments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong knowledge of version control (Git/GitLab) and Agile practices.
