Job Profile:
The 3rd Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of specific machinery and systems on board the vessel, under the supervision of the 2nd Engineer and Chief Engineer. The role ensures that all machinery assigned operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with international regulations and company standards.
Main Duties:
- Watch keeping duties as defined by the Chief Engineer's standing orders.
- Planned and routine maintenance of the mechanical installations onboard the vessel.
- Bunking the vessel when on duty.
- Acting as a member of the emergency team as dictated by the Muster List.
QHSSE Responsibilities:
- Reinforce and strengthen QHSSE culture.
- Assist in safety inspections to ensure that the workplace is maintained in a safe and tidy condition.
- Ensure risk assessments are carried out.
- Conduct Toolbox talks.
- Attend QHSE meetings.
- Ensure compliance with QHSE policy, plans and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- STCW Certification as per Regulation III/1
- Flag state certification of equivalent competency
- CoC - Engineering
- Valid offshore medical
