Senior C++ Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior C++ Developer to lead the modernization of a complex legacy application hosted on-premises.

This position focuses on migrating services to a Linux-based AWS cloud environment, improving existing codebases, and optimizing database processes. Be a part of our team to drive technical advancements while ensuring system reliability and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to analyze legacy application architecture and create modernization strategies
• Perform Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate modernization technologies
• Migrate application services to a Linux-based AWS cloud platform using containerization tools
• Enhance and refactor C and C++ codebases to improve performance and maintainability
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, enabling automated testing and builds
• Support the database team in moving Oracle databases to Oracle RDS or Aurora DB, ensuring data accuracy
• Prepare documentation covering workflows, architectural updates, and troubleshooting processes
• Address technical challenges or bottlenecks during migration and development stages
• Convert MVS Mainframe services and integrate them into the custom communication protocol

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development with competency in C and C++ (COM and COM Interop)
• Familiarity with Windows on-premise environments and Linux system architecture
• Understanding of Oracle databases and transitioning to Oracle RDS or Aurora DB
• Proficiency in AWS cloud technologies and containerization platforms like Docker
• Expertise in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
• Skills in performance optimization, including profiling, bottleneck resolution, and refactoring
• Advanced English communication skills (B2 level or higher)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Java and C# in supporting legacy systems
• Background in managing custom-built application servers and unique communication protocols
• Capability to transition mainframe systems into modern cloud platforms
• Skills in Oracle database schema consolidation and handling cursor-related tasks
