Senior C++ Software Engineer (Win, COM)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior C++ Developer to lead the modernization of a complex, on-premise legacy application.

This role involves migrating services to a Linux-based AWS cloud platform, refactoring existing codebases, and optimizing database workflows. Join our team to drive technical innovation and ensure system performance and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to analyze the legacy application architecture and devise modernization strategies
• Perform Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for proposed modernization technologies for validation
• Migrate application services to a Linux-based AWS cloud environment using containerization
• Refactor and enhance C and C++ codebases for improved performance and maintainability
• Use Jenkins to set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated builds and testing
• Assist the database team in transitioning Oracle databases to Oracle RDS or Aurora DB and ensure data integrity
• Document workflows, architectural changes, and troubleshooting processes while providing regular updates
• Address technical issues or bottlenecks that arise during migration and development phases
• Transition MVS Mainframe services and integrate them with the custom communication protocol

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development with expertise in C and C++ (COM and COM Interop)
• Familiarity with on-premise Windows environments and Linux system architecture
• Knowledge of Oracle databases with experience in transitioning to Oracle RDS or Aurora DB
• Proficiency in AWS cloud services and containerization technologies like Docker
• Expertise in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
• Proficiency in performance optimization, including profiling, bottleneck analysis, and refactoring
• Advanced English communication skills (minimum B2 level)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Java and C# in legacy applications
• Experience managing custom-built application servers and proprietary communication protocols
• Background in transitioning mainframe services to modern cloud-based architectures
• Skills in Oracle database schema consolidation and cursor management
